About Kevin
My foundation as a designer comes from a fine art background. I studied printmaking and spent years working hands-on with physical processes—where patience, iteration, and respect for materials are essential. That experience shaped how I think about craft: not as decoration, but as a series of intentional decisions that compound over time.
I learned design and typography from the ground up, long before working exclusively on screens. Setting type on a letterpress—handling individual pieces of lead, spacing lines by hand, and feeling the weight of decisions literally at my fingertips—taught me what structure, rhythm, and hierarchy actually mean. Learning about leading with lead dust on my fingers has a way of making those principles stick.
Before transitioning fully into design, I worked as an art handler, collaborating on large-scale projects that required precision, coordination, and trust. Working in those environments taught me how to move carefully within complex systems, communicate clearly with diverse teams, and take responsibility for outcomes where the margin for error was small.
Those experiences continue to inform how I approach design today. I value clarity, structure, and collaboration, and I’m most effective when working closely with others to solve problems that are bigger than any one individual.
